We have just come away from a successful CMG convention where several hundred of you shared your concerns and thoughts about how we support a healthy public broadcaster capable of delivering TV, radio and digital programming across the country into the future.

Now over the next 18 months leading into the 2015 federal election,  you will notice that we will be more outspoken  than we have been in the past.  We will be working with community organizations, arts, cultural, and amateur sports groups, as well as other  unions, and all political parties to promote the value of  public broadcasting and pressure the government to fund it properly.

Tomorrow at noon, we are staging a public rally outside of CBC Ottawa. The CBC Board of Directors  is meeting inside,  and we want to share our disapproval of recent cuts, show the irreversible damage cuts are causing and demand the CBC president and board work to find a long term solution, and not continue crushing a proud Canadian public institution (our exchange with  the Board).
