1.5% wage increase for CMG members at CBC/Radio-Canada

The Canadian Media Guild (CMG) and CBC/Radio-Canada have agreed to a 1.5% increase of basic salary for  the year 2020-2021. The increase is effective April 1, 2020, and applies to permanent, temporary, contract and freelance workers. It will be reflected in the April 23 salary deposit. This is in accordance with the 2019 collective bargaining agreement.

Members will also receive retroactive pay on their April 23 cheque, to include a 0.1% adjustment that was effective January 1, 2020, but could not be implemented until this time.

The adjustment is the result of a 2009 agreement on pension surplus and benefits between the Corporation, the unions at CBC/Radio-Canada and the Pensioners National Association.

New salary scales will be posted as soon as they are made available.
