Consider contributing your energy and skill as a Canadian Media Guild (CMG) member at CBC/Radio-Canada to one of the below committees – CBC Branch committees work to build a better workplace and serve our interests as co-workers.
Committee members involved in joint meetings with management get paid release from work in order to represent our union and participate in committee work.
We are looking for CMG members to serve on the following committees:
CBC Branch National Grievance Committee (NGC):
There are two vacancies on the NGC – one position must be filled by a CMG member working for French Services, SRC; the other is a regular committee position.
This NGC committee handles grievances referred to the national level.
The emphasis of the overall NGC process is on orderly and expeditious resolution, prompt and serious attention and innovative solutions.
Much of the work happens by conference call, and there are five in-person meetings in Toronto during the year.
National Job Evaluation Committee:
The committee is responsible for the implementation and the on-going management of job evaluation, classification profiles and ratings.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. local time on Friday, December 21, 2018.
Please submit your application to join one of the above CBC Branch Committees using our online form:

Make sure your application is comprehensive as it will form the basis for selection decisions by the CBC Branch Executive Council.
