CBC Branch looking to fill vacancies on four National Committees

ur union needs you!

Get involved on the Joint Pay Equity Committee, the Joint Employment Equity Committee, the National Grievance Committee (each seeking to fill one vacancy) or the National Health and Safety Committee (three vacancies to be filled) of CMG at CBC.

Much of the work happens by conference call; sometimes there are in-person meetings, usually held in Toronto. Committee members get paid time off from work to attend joint meetings with management, and travel costs for members outside Toronto are covered.

Here is a short description of the four committees on which members are needed:

*Joint Pay Equity Committee: a CMG committee where we work with management to address disparities in remuneration between men and women (1  vacancy)

*Joint Employment Equity Committee: at this CMG committee we discuss with management ways to achieve equity in the workplace (1 vacancy)

*National Grievance Committee: This CMG committee administers the dispute resolution process at the national level with management (1 vacancy)

*National Health and Safety Committee : a CMG committee where we develop and monitor health and safety policies and programs (3 vacancies)
