The Guild at TVO is holding a meeting on Tuesday April 24 from 12 noon to 1:30 pm upstairs at the Duke of Kent to give you an update on a number of issues.
As you know, we’ve asked the Ontario Labour Relations Board to help clarify the rules around which of the two unions at TVO is responsible for representing employees assigned to digital media jobs. We’ll talk about our approach to addressing the conflicts between the two bargaining units that have arisen as the work we all do at TVO changes. We plan to invite Steve Thomas, local CEP president, to answer any questions you might have about his union’s views.
We also want to hear your comments and questions about our collective agreement. We’ll be going into negotiations with TVO later this year and we need to know members’ priorities for the new collective agreement. We will also be sending out a questionnaire to gather information on bargaining issues so that everyone can have a voice in this critical process.
We’ll be providing food and refreshments. Please come and bring a colleague or two.
