The first post-lockout pay is scheduled to be issued today. You can now find out whether you were paid for Friday October 7. If you need help interpreting your notice of deposit, please contact your local Human Resources department.
According to the back-to-work protocol the Guild negotiated with CBC management, “all employees who had permanent status as of August 15, 2005 will be placed on the payroll effective Friday, October 7th, 2005. Employees on active contract and whose contracts remain active on Friday, October 7th will be placed on the payroll on that date. Temporary and Freelance Fixed Term employees (greater than 13 weeks) who are required to work on Tuesday, October 11, will be placed on the payroll effective Friday, October 7th, 2005.”
IF YOU WERE NOT PAID FOR OCTOBER 7:
If you believe you are eligible according to the protocol, please contact the Guild, if you have not already done so, at guild@interlog.com or by calling 416-591-5333 or 1-800-465-4149. We are already aware of some people who are being denied payment for that day and we are working to rectify the situation.
If you are not eligible for CBC pay for that day (eg. a temporary or freelance employee who was not required to work on October 11) and you performed your duty during Week 8 of the lockout, the Guild will provide lockout pay for October 7. Details on how to claim this payment will follow shortly.
