Your union is looking for two members to join the Joint Pay Equity committee at CBC. This committee includes representatives from management and the CMG. It meets four times per year.
The committee is mandated under the Collective Agreement to address disparities in remuneration between men and women. This includes all forms of payments, such as additional remuneration and placement on the salary scales. The Guild encourages applications from Aboriginal peoples, visible minorities, people with disabilities, women, francophones and persons of all sexual orientation and gender identity. Please self-identify if you feel comfortable doing so.
Applicants are encouraged to check the Collective Agreement for more details about what this committee does.
The committee usually meets in Toronto and holds telephone conferences. The Guild and management make the arrangements for paid time off from work and travel, if necessary, to attend the meetings. If you are interested, please send an email to email@example.com and explain why you would like to join the committee. The deadline is December 9, 2009
