Because of inaccuracies in CBC records, some employees have not received salary increases on their anniversary dates according to the steps in our collective agreement. If you are not at the top of the salary band for your classification, you advance to the next step on your anniversary date, which is the date you started working in your base position.
If you have been temporarily assigned to another position, your anniversary date remains the date you started working in your base position. If you are at the top of the scale in your basic position, but not in your temporarily assigned position, your anniversary date is the month you were assigned to temporary duties.
Don’t assume your wages will be adjusted automatically. Please confirm with your supervisor that your anniversary date is accurate. If your step increase has not been implemented, your supervisor should fix the problem for you.
