Opportunity to serve your colleagues on a national Guild committee

The CMG needs to fill two vacant positions on a very important national committee: the Grievance Committee. You could make a big difference in the day-to-day working lives of your colleagues.

Ideal candidates should have a keen interest in helping improve the working conditions of members across the country and in resolving disputes. The goal of the grievance committee is to ensure that our collective agreement is honoured. Candidates should be prepared to attend five week-long meetings in Toronto per year.

The CMG encourages members from equity-seeking groups, including people of colour, people with disabilities, Aboriginal people and women, to put their names forward for these committees.

Candidates will be selected by the Guild’s CBC branch executive. If you’re interested, or for more information, please contact CBC branch president Marc-Philippe Laurin (mplaurin@sympatico.ca) at 819-664-5090.
