We had hoped that comprehensive information on job evaluation, including the new salary scales, would be coming out this week. Employees were to be notified by CBC of the job they were being slotted into, their pay beginning January 9, 2006, and the amount of retroactivity they would receive. The Guild and the CBC were also going to jointly publish the pay scales, all job descriptions, the challenge process and background information.

However, some details regarding retroactivity still need to be ironed out. Because JE involves your money and affects a big part of the CBC payroll, there is little room for error. Releasing information in a piecemeal fashion, before you have been told personally how you will be affected, would cause great confusion We realize that the information is overdue but we ask for your patience.
