We are aware that CBC/Radio-Canada has announced a possible data breach involving employees at the Corporation.  

Of course, this is a concern for Canadian Media Guild members.

When CMG and our fellow CBC unions were notified of the situation, we pressed the Corporation to inform us about what they knew and what steps they are taking to address the issues involved. It is important that the Corporation’s efforts are thorough and effective.

Our union continues to monitor the situation, and we have asked for additional meetings with the Corporation to receive ongoing updates. We will report back after these meetings.

We encourage CMG members to use the venues CBC/Radio-Canada has made available for questions and concerns, and to let us know about any problems that may arise.
