We have vacancies on four of our national joint committees.
Our committee work is currently done by Zoom, but we are gradually resuming in-person meetings which are held a few times a year.
Committee members receive paid time off from work to attend joint meetings with management, and travel costs for members outside Toronto are covered.
Please read the committee descriptions below and click here to apply.

Matters discussed at the Committee are of a national/corporate nature.
Skills desirable for committee members include:
-Broad and extensive experience in a range of union capacities, preferably at a national level.
Applicants are encouraged to check Article 18 of the Collective Agreement for more details.
To ensure better representation, preference will be given to candidates from equity-seeking groups in the West and the North.
National Joint Job Evaluation Committee
This joint committee is responsible for the implementation and the ongoing management of job evaluation, classification profiles and ratings.

The goal is to ensure the public broadcaster fulfills its obligations to hire and promote workers from the four designated groups: women, members of visible minorities Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities as defined under the federal Employment Equity Act.
The deadline for applications is November 3, 2021
The CMG executive at CBC will make the final selection of members of each committee, based on the content of the applications. Please submit a separate application for each committee using our online form.
