Our last memorandum of settlement with CBC states that CMG members would receive a 1.5% wage increase on April 1, 2012, on the condition that the federal government allocate the money for wage increases. That is not the case for 2012-13. A wage increase is therefore subject to negotiation with CBC management. Given the looming federal budget and the real possibility of CBC cuts, the Guild and CBC management have agreed to hold off discussions on wages until sometime after the budget.
