CMG members working at ZoomerMedia have ratified the new three-year collective agreement. The ratification vote was held Monday and Tuesday of this week, with 100% of ballots cast in favour of the agreement.
The main gains of the deal include a general 1.8% salary increase in 2017, a second 1.8% increase in 2018, and another 1.8% increase in 2019; proper meal breaks and appropriate coverage of employees’ job duties when they are on meal breaks; improved compassionate care leave for family members, as well as improvements in maternity and parental leave benefits; and longer lay-off notice period.
The final copy of the Collective Agreement will be available for members online and in print as quickly as possible.
Thank-you to all members for their commitment throughout the bargaining process.
