On July 26 the CMG bargaining team presented a document to VisionTV management, outlining the objectives which the union wishes to discuss with management.
The document is based largely on the results of the bargaining survey which most VisionTV employees filled out earlier in the year. Some objectives are “must-haves”, whereas others are perhaps less obligatory but would be helpful. The document is meant to help create an overall frame for negotiations. If both sides agree that a particular subject is worth discussing, or that a particular end result is desirable for both management and employees, it should be easier to reach agreement on contract language.
The objectives are presented in no particular order of importance. The relative weight of each of the objectives will be part of the overall negotiations process.
