Canadian Media Guild members at The Canadian Press/Broadcast News have approved the agreement in principle by a vote of 83.1 per cent.

A total of 145 ballots were cast. Of those, 118 votes were in favour of the tentative agreement, with 24 votes or 16.9% against. Three ballots were challenged and not included in the final count.

The new collective agreement can now be fully implemented. The Guild will be in contact with the company immediately to announce the news.
