Contact continues between the chief negotiator for the Canadian Media Guild, Dan Oldfield, and his counterpart at the CBC, Stephen Satchel, to explore ways to end the management-imposed lockout, now into its 15th day.

Meanwhile, the Guild is awaiting word from the federal minister of labour, Joe Fontana, on the appointment of a special mediator to work with both sides to end the dispute.

The parties are maintaining contact and continue to use the services of the two mediators, Arnie Powers and Jennifer Webster, who have been working with both sides since late July.
