Canadian Media Guild members have overwhelmingly approved the Memorandum of Agreement. In the ratification vote conducted on June 8-9, 2005, 86% of those voting approved the agreement.

Reuters Canada has been notified of the results and has begun the necessary implementation procedures.

It is expected that the last pay cycle in June will reflect the new increased salary scales; retroactive payments will be received in the first pay period in July.

The new agreement will now have to be printed. This will take some time, but copies will be sent out to all as soon as they are ready.
