The Guild’s bargaining team at CP/BN has completed its task of negotiating the wage increase for 2006. Now it’s your turn to participate in the process by voting on the agreement.
This ratification vote will be done via Internet. The online polls will be open from Friday, December 16 at 8 am until Tuesday, December 20 at 8 pm (all times Eastern). Results of the vote will be announced the following day.
To participate in the online vote, you will need to know your nine-digit CMG identification number. This number is printed on your CMG wallet card. If you have misplaced your card or didn’t receive one, e-mail us immediately at vote@cmg.ca ? no phone calls please ? and we will give you your ID number. All members of the CP/BN bargaining unit are eligible to vote, whether or not you’ve ever signed a Guild membership application card.
To vote:
1. Surf to www.cmg.ca and click on the link to the voting site.
2. Log in using your nine-digit ID number, as well as the first four letters of your last name. NOTE: When entering your name, please leave out all accents, spaces or punctuation in your name. For example:
– Georges B?langer would enter “bela”
– Anne Van Doren would enter “vand”
– Sean O’Regan would enter “oreg”
3. Read the question and vote “yes” or “no”.
4. Confirm your selection.
5. Sit back and bask in the afterglow of participatory democracy.
