Getting ready for the 2021 CMG Virtual Convention

Dear CMG Convention delegate,

The CMG Virtual Convention is fast approaching, and I am sending you this information so you can register for the online platform (Whova) we will be using for this year’s Convention. We strongly recommend that delegates use their own personal computer for the convention, not that of an employer.

Create a Whova Login

To access the Whova platform, you must create a login uisng the link that was emailed to you.

Once you create your login, you will have access to:
-The convention agenda
-The convention live feed
-The convention documents

After signing up (choose a strong password), you should be taken directly to the CMG Convention 2021 event.

Questions? Please email our Whova facilitator, Karyn Dumble, at  karyn@themonarchparkgroup.ca.

Attend a 30-minute practice session

Ahead of the virtual convention, we are offering three brief practice sessions where you can learn how to use Whova and make sure you’re able to vote during the convention.

Monday, June 7 from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT
Tuesday, June 8 from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT
Wednesday, June 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. EDT (French-speaking person available for this session)

The content in each session is the same. We will be able to take time at the end to help those who need a bit of extra technical support.

To attend the practice sessions, please use the Zoom link that was emailed to you.

In solidarity,

Carmel Smyth
President, Canadian Media Guild
