Here are the results from last week’s referendum on the CMG dues cap:

Yes: 243 votes (54.4%)
No: 204 votes (45.6%)

As a result, the dues cap for the calendar year 2010 will move to $1600, and increase by $100 per year thereafter for ten years.

Please note that dues continue to be calculated at the same rate, i.e. 1.55% of earnings. As a result, only those members with earnings of $96,774 or more in 2010 will notice any change, and next year’s cap will kick in at $103,226. We will be advising employers of the change.
