The Canadian Media Guild is looking for committed and enthusiastic members to take a leadership role in the running of their union.
Next week nominations will open for all positions on the Guild’s primary decision-making body, the National Executive Committee, as well as the executive council of each of our branches. In total there are approximately sixty positions that need to be filled, so we encourage you to start thinking now about what you might want to do.
For more information on the kinds of positions to be filled, visit www.cmg.ca and wander around in the Who’s Who section.
Please note that for those branches that have location units, i.e. CBC/Radio-Canada and The Canadian Press, elections for location unit officers will happen in early 2008.
Watch your e-mail next week for the official call for nominations. If you have any questions, please contact the chair of the Guild’s national elections committee, Keith Maskell, at keith@cmg.ca.
