Still seeking candidates for vice-president of the Canadian Press branch

There was no candidate for the position of vice-president of the Canadian Press branch at the close of nominations yesterday. The nomination period will therefore be extended to Tuesday October 11, 2011.

To download the nomination form, please click here. Nomination forms with original signatures must be received by the Guild’s national office by October 11. The election, if necessary, will be held in late October or early November.

Two candidates were acclaimed to positions on Guild executives at the close of nominations: Robert Ballantyne of CBC Toronto is the Director, New Members of the Guild’s National Executive Committee and Brice Hall is the new President of the Thomson Reuters Branch.
