The date of the election will be Thursday February 25, 2010.
Candidates have till Tuesday February 9 to secure and submit their nominations to Dave Bongard or fax them to the Guild’s national office at 416-591-7278. Nomination forms can be downloaded from http://www.cmgtoronto.ca/whats_new_content/nomination_form.pdf
A non-partisan volunteer Election Committee will confirm the nominees. Election Committee members are disqualified from participating in the nomination and campaigning processes.
On Thursday February 11 the campaign begins. Confirmed nominees can begin the work of securing votes. Websites, social media, posters (8.5 x 11- Only on allocated CMG bulletin boards please – any posters found posted outside of this area will be taken down and the Election Committee will contact the nominee.) We ask that any election material please be removed ASAP after the election is held.
Vote day is Thursday February 25 and will be held by ballot and scrutinized by the Election Committee. Where the vote will take place is still to be determined. Details to follow.
All positions are open for nominations to any CMG member in good standing from the Toronto location of CBC.
The positions available are:
– President
– Vice President
– Recording Secretary
– Treasurer
– 7 Director positions including 1 Director elected only from the SRC group
– 3 Steward positions
