Le syndicat a appris \u00e0 la mi-saison que la direction avait inform\u00e9 certains employ\u00e9s travaillant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9mission quotidienne qu\u2019ils \u00e9taient assujettis \u00e0 l\u2019horaire libre. Ces employ\u00e9s n\u2019\u00e9taient donc pas r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s pour toutes leurs heures de travail et, de plus, n\u2019ont pas re\u00e7u de prime pour leur travail le lundi de P\u00e2ques. <\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s une journ\u00e9e de t\u00e9moignage devant l\u2019arbitre Gerald Charney, on est parvenu \u00e0 un r\u00e8glement dont on ne peut pas divulguer les d\u00e9tails. La premi\u00e8re et seule intervenante, choisie par le syndicat, a expliqu\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on d\u00e9taill\u00e9e pourquoi les exigences quotidiennes de l\u2019\u00e9mission ne lui ont pas permis de choisir ses heures de travail, ses jours de travail et ses jours de repos, ce qui est d\u2019ailleurs n\u00e9cessaire pour qu\u2019un employ\u00e9 soit \u00e0 l\u2019horaire libre en vertu de la convention collective entre la GCM et Radio-Canada. <\/p>\n<p>Elle a \u00e9galement expliqu\u00e9 qu\u2019elle et ses coll\u00e8gues ont syst\u00e9matiquement travaill\u00e9 des heures suppl\u00e9mentaires afin de mettre l\u2019\u00e9mission en ondes. Cependant, ils se sont fait dire que les employ\u00e9s \u00e0 horaire libre ne doivent pas rendre compte de leurs heures de travail aupr\u00e8s du service des ressources humaines. Par cons\u00e9quent, les employ\u00e9s n\u2019\u00e9taient pas r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s pour les heures travaill\u00e9es au-del\u00e0 de la semaine r\u00e9guli\u00e8re de travail. Le t\u00e9moin a dit qu\u2019elle a travaill\u00e9 en moyenne 47,5 heures par semaine mais qu\u2019elle n\u2019\u00e9tait r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9e que pour 38,75 heures. On lui a donc refus\u00e9 sa paie r\u00e9guli\u00e8re ainsi qu\u2019une prime pour ces heures additionnelles. <\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Ces employ\u00e9s vuln\u00e9rables, dont la plupart travaillaient \u00e0 contrat sans la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d\u2019un emploi permanent, devaient fournir du travail b\u00e9n\u00e9vole \u00e0 la CBC, \u00bb explique Glenn Gray, agent administratif de la GCM. <\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous ne voulons pas que cela devienne la norme pour la production de la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision \u00e0 CBC  \u00bb, ajoute-t-il. \u00ab  Seuls les employ\u00e9s peuvent mettre fin \u00e0 de telle exploitation en communiquant avec leur syndicat au moment o\u00f9 ces abus se produisent.
