The Canadian Media Guild (CMG) has approved 10 scholarships for Guild activists to attend the upcoming CBC/Radio-Canada Branch’s Presidents’ Council, May 31 – June 2, 2019.
 
Presidents’ Council is a biennial meeting of CBC location unit presidents from across the country to discuss workplace issues. The meeting will include a full, additional day of CMG related training seminars.
 
If you are newly elected to your Location Unit Executive Committee; or you work in a location where experienced CMG leaders have retired; or if you want to get more involved in our union –  please click here to apply for one of 10 paid scholarships, which include travel costs, wage replacement, meals and lodging.
 
Please apply by April 10, 2019. Applicants will be notified by April 15. Successful candidates are asked to submit travel and leave forms by April 22.
 
Delegates will be asked to travel to Toronto May 30  – Meetings end at  noon Sunday, June 2 to allow for return travel home.
 
Meetings will take place at a union friendly resort Bayview Wildwood 80 minutes from Pearson Airport.
