The CMG and CBC management met yesterday in Toronto in the presence of mediator Warren Edmondson to map out a process to discuss major issues that have stood between them. The discussions were initiated by the Senior Executive Team at CBC.

Yesterday’s discussions involved 15 leaders from each organization and included a dialogue about our respective roles. Further meetings have been scheduled in May, June and July, with a view to addressing some issues ahead of the next round of bargaining. The CBC/CMG collective agreement expires on March 31, 2009.
