CMG looking to fill three positions on National executive and Branch committees

Call for nominations: National Director of Francophone Affairs,  Director – SRC West (Manitoba and West),  Vice-President, Canadian Press Branch

Recent departures leave us with vacancies on the National Executive Committee (NEC), the CBC Branch Executive and The Canadian Press Branch Executive.

We’re now accepting nominations for these three positions. The successful candidates will serve until the end of the current terms in December 2016.

Here is some information on the positions:

-National Director of Francophone Affairs on the NEC – All CMG members can be candidates and the position is elected at large. For more information about the position, please clickhttp://www.cmg.ca/en/roles-and-responsibilities-of-elected-guild-officials/

-Director – SRC West (that part of Canada, west of the Ontario-Manitoba border) on the CBC Branch Executive – candidates must be members of the CBC Branch working for the SRC in Manitoba or West. -Vice-President, Canadian Press Branch – candidates must be members of The Canadian Press Branch. This is also a position on the Guild’s NEC. For more information about the position and its responsibilities, speak to Branch president Terry Pedwell.

The candidate, nominator and two seconders must all be CMG members in good standing.

The deadline for receipt of completed application forms is Tuesday, November 24 at 5 p.m. ET.

The dates for any elections will be set following the close of nominations.
