CMG seeks your input to improve consultation and communication during bargaining

Dear members,

In a continuing effort to better represent you, the CMG executive at CBC has tasked a sub-committee with reviewing the consultation and communication processes used during bargaining with a goal of improving those processes.

We are seeking your input! Let us know the best ways to exchange information with you before, during and after bargaining, and how you could participate more actively. The subcommittee will review your ideas – incorporating feedback CMG has already received from some of you – and make recommendations at the May convention on how to better engage members during future bargaining rounds.

Here is what CMG does right now:

– runs an online survey asking you to say what your priorities are
– uses your responses to help shape the approach to bargaining and priorities
– provides updates throughout the bargaining process via email, web postings and      answers to questions, comments and suggestions from individual members
– holds meetings across the country prior to the ratification vote

For this review, please send your suggestions or comments to the following email address before Friday, March 14: [email protected]

Thank you in advance for your input,

The members of your CMG CBC Bargaining Consultation Process sub-committee:

Naomi Robinson (chair)
Annick Forest
Chantal Payant
Jo-Ann Roberts
Dominique Delisle
Harry Mesh
Marc-Philippe Laurin
