Confidential counselling is available for all CBC/Radio-Canada CMG Members

As recent reports and revelations have come forward regarding inappropriate workplace behaviour at the CBC, we feel it is important to remind you at this time that free counselling is available through your Employee Assistance Program.

We understand that the media reports may trigger memories among some of our members, of past sexual and physical abuse. The Employee Assistance Program is available to you and is completely confidential.  It is jointly sponsored and managed by the unions and management.  However, there is no sharing of information between the EAP provider and CBC/Radio-Canada or anyone else. It is, as stated earlier, completely confidential.

The EAP is open to employees, their immediate families, and retirees.

If you find yourself affected by recent events we encourage you to use this service. The EAP offers both psychological counselling and services to promote health and wellness.

The EAP is free and clients can receive up to five hours of services.

Depending on your location and your preference the counselling may be done over the phone, online or in person.
