Freelancers and Robertson v. Thomson – you may be eligible for compensation

If you’re a freelancer who has created content for print media in Canada, you may be eligible to participate in a recent class action settlement.

Known as Robertson v. Thomson, the case has been before Canadian courts for a number of years. The settlement allows for compensation for certain freelancers whose work was re-published in electronic format
after it was published in print.

The ruling, along with a full description of the settlement and rules for making a claim, are available on the website of Koskie Minsky LLP at www.kmlaw.ca/Case-Central/Overview/Court-Documents/?rid=104 . Read all documents thoroughly and carefully before filling out the claim form.

All questions about claims should be addressed to the claims administrator at claimsadministrator@coleandpartners.com .
