Help shape the future of TV in Canada – Fill out CRTC’s Choicebook

As part of its ongoing consultation about television in Canada, the CRTC is asking Canadians to consider a number of scenarios it has outlined in an online survey called Choicebook and indicate their preferred options for Canadian television.

This is another chance to add your valuable insights into this review as media workers, but also as citizens and audience members.

While the choices provided are not exhaustive, CMG believes this review will have great significance for television in Canada, so we are encouraging all members to participate and help shape CRTC’s policies in this area.

The union will make a formal submission to the CRTC in the coming months, making the case for a vibrant television industry that includes diverse voices, strong public media, and healthy organizations that treat people fairly.

If you are looking for a Citizens’ guide to filling out the CRTC survey, you can look at the one developed by OpenMedia.ca which focuses on the Internet and also supports public media.

The deadline for taking the CRTC survey is March 14 (http://letstalktv.hkstrategies.ca/)
