Bring along your family and friends and join your union at the Labour Day Parade on Monday September 1. March with colleagues from CBC, The Canadian Press, TVO, S-VOX, Reuters and CW Television. The parade ends with free admission to the CNE. Guild marchers will get free tickets for rides and a free CMG diversity T-shirt.
It’s a day of free fun for the whole family and a time to celebrate with other unions and workers in Toronto. The Guild will be walking to the Afrofunk beat of Rhythm+.
When: 9 a.m. on Monday September 1
Where: East side of University Avenue, one block south of Dundas St. West (south of St. Patrick Subway) ? look for the CMG truck.
Arrangements can be made for those who are unable to walk the parade route.
It’s a great event for the whole family. We really hope to see you there!
The city will be providing tap water stations along the way, so bring along a reusable water container and help us reduce the cost and waste of bottled water.
