Referendum – Bylaw changes to pare down the size of the NEC passed

Here are the results of the CMG national referendum held June 1-8, 2022 on bylaw changes to pare down the size of our union’s National Executive Committee (NEC):

Yes: 178 votes (72.4%)
No: 68 votes (27.6%)

As a result, the proposed CMG bylaw changes will be implemented to bring the composition of the NEC from 19 to 13 members effective at the start of the next term on January 1, 2023.

Please note that the NEC in its current format remains in place until the end of this term on December 31, 2022.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to consider the proposed changes, and to vote. If you have any questions, contact us at info@cmg.ca or call 1-800-465-4149 or 416-591-5333.
