With the holiday season upon us and the end of the year just around the corner, I thought I would take a moment to give you a quick update.
Your union executive has been and will continue to talk and work with management on a few long-standing issues such as staffing levels and pre edited content coming in the edit suites.
We are also looking for volunteers interested in helping to plan social events for our Branch of the CMG. Let us know if you can pitch in: the extra help would be very much appreciated.
A small holiday gift from your union executive will be distributed this year, and we hope to get it to you before everyone leaves for the holidays.
Get-together
We know how busy this time of year can be, making it hard to get together, so we have decided to have a larger get-together in February. Please save the date of February 7th.
In the meantime, we would still like to have a small casual get-together before the year ends. So please stop by Spirits (Church & Hayden) for a drink or two on December 21st from 3.p.m to 6 p.m., and then from 11 p.m.
I hope to see you all there.
Enjoy your holiday season and please always feel free to talk to one of the executive members about any issues that arise. We are always happy to help in any way we can.
Cheers,
Christopher Beesley, president of the Guild at Shaw and your CMG executive
