The Canadian Media Guild is seeking a part-time editor for thestoryboard.ca, a blog that creates an online space for media freelancers in Canada.

The editor will be engaged to work an average of about 10 hours per week developing original copy for blog entries, covering news about the industry, seeking and editing submissions from occasional contributors, and developing the readership and participation in the blog through social media.

The editor will work independently and make day-to-day decisions about content that appears on thestoryboard.ca. The editor will be supported by the CMG’s communications co-ordinator, as well as members of the freelance alliance working group. Ideally, the editor will be a member of the CMG’s Freelance Branch, or represented by the Canadian Writers Group.

The editor will be paid $40 per hour for up to ten hours per week.
