Are you newly elected to your Location Unit Executive Committee? Do you work in a location where experienced Canadian Media Guild (CMG) leaders have retired? Do you want to get more involved in our union?
If you answered ”Yes” to any one of those questions, please click here to apply by April 10, for one of 10 paid scholarships, which include travel costs, wage replacement, meals and lodging.
The scholarships have been approved for Guild activists to attend a full day of union related training seminars as part of the upcoming CBC/Radio-Canada Branch’s Presidents’ Council, May 31 – June 2, 2019.
Presidents’ Council is a biennial meeting of CBC location unit presidents from across the country to discuss workplace issues.
Applicants will be notified by April 15, and successful candidates will need to submit travel and leave forms by April 22.
Delegates will be asked to travel to Toronto May 30 – Meetings end at noon Sunday, June 2 to allow for return travel home.
Meetings will take place at a union friendly resort Bayview Wildwood 80 minutes from Pearson Airport.
