Your chance to ratify changes in your union

A number of changes to the union by-laws were approved by Guild delegates from the CBC who attended the recent convention. Soon, you will be asked to ratify these changes.

Among other things, the by-law changes involve how positions are elected to the CBC branch executive of the Guild and who sits on our bargaining committee.

Click here to read through all the resolutions discussed by the CBC delegates. Only the by-law changes are subject to approval by the membership; we will communicate more details about that process, along with the dates for the online vote, in the next few weeks. Click here to review the existing by-laws.

To find out more about the resolutions, contact any member of the Guild executive at CBC. Click here for the contact list.

I would like to thank all of the delegates at the convention for their thoughtful contributions to the democratic functioning of our union at CBC.
