The CBC/Radio-Canada Toronto Location Unit Executive Committee (LEC) has a new vacancy for the position of Director of New Members and Precarious Workers and is calling for nominations. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, January 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. (ET).
What does the Director of New Members and Precarious Workers do?
Most often, new employees are also precariously employed, and need special support and information. This director chairs the Local Temp Committee and also organizes and hosts orientation sessions for new union members.
The Director of New Members and Precarious Workers is a voting member of the Location Unit Executive.
The successful nominee will sit on the Location Unit Executive Committee for the duration of the current term (until December 2026).

Please submit nomination forms to the Location Unit’s Election Committee — either electronically (email to Lynne Chichakian and Ray Yee) or drop off a paper copy to the CMG office (311 Adelaide Street East, Suite 101).
