Motion: Whereas the new CMG office is not located as near to the CBC as the former office, therefore transportation costs are now incurred by members of the LEC. Be it moved that the LEC will cover costs associated with parking or transit due to attending LEC meetings at our new location.

Change from : 1.1 The name of this organization shall be Canadian Media Guild, CBC Toronto Unit, [herein after referred to as the “Location Unit”], and shall be a location unit of the Canadian Media Guild [herein after referred to as “CMG”]. CMG is local 30213 of THE NEWSPAPER GUILD [herein after referred to as ‘TNG”], which is a division of the Communication Workers of America, [herein after referred to as “CWA”].

ARTICLE # 3 MEMBERSHIP

3.1 All persons employed at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation who are within the jurisdiction of the union as defined by the Canadian Industrial Relations Board shall be eligible for membership in the Location Unit subject to completing membership requirements as stipulated by TNG/CMG.

ARTICLE # 8 EXPENSES
Change from: 8.7 The LEC will determine set quarterly expense allowances to be paid to Executive Officers, Chief Stewards, and Directors. This will not preclude compensation for unexpected expenses. Any member of the LEC who is absent from meetings and duties for more than three months in a row for any reason must forfeit this allowance until they return and can perform normal duties.
