Local Joint Employment – Also known as Workforce Adjustment, this committee’s focus is finding alternate work for anyone who receives a redundancy notice. A good knowledge of the collective agreement, job classifications, and different areas of work is helpful.
PMSD – This committee reviews and manages the Performance Management Staff Development program. Strong communication skills and an understanding of the PMSD process are helpful.
Local Temporary Committee – This committee assesses employees hired under temporary status to determine if they are engaged properly. Data management skills, a good working knowledge of the Collective Agreement, and a thorough understanding of the CBC workplace structure are essential.
Ad-hoc Mobilization Committee – This committee’s focus is to promote union involvement as well as public support for CBC/SRC.
Workload Committee (in News & Current Affairs) – We are looking for volunteers who work in news and current affairs to help review and manage workload.
Many of these committees are made up of CMG volunteers who meet on a monthly basis with CBC managers to try to resolve issues and make CBC a better place to work.
