If you are already on a committee, do not re-apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Local Joint Employment<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Also known as Workforce Adjustment, this committee\u2019s focus is finding alternate work for anyone who receives a redundancy notice. A good knowledge of the collective agreement, job classifications, and different areas of work is helpful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PMSD<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; This committee reviews and manages the Performance Management Staff Development program. Strong communication skills and an understanding of the PMSD process are helpful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Local Temporary Committee<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; This committee assesses employees hired under temporary status to determine if they are engaged properly.\u00a0 Data management skills, a good working knowledge of the Collective Agreement, and a thorough understanding of the CBC workplace structure are essential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ad-hoc Mobilization Committee<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; This committee\u2019s focus is to promote union involvement as well as public support for CBC\/SRC.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workload Committee (in News &amp; Current Affairs)<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0 We are looking for volunteers who work in news and current affairs to help review and manage workload.<\/p>\n<p>Many of these committees are made up of CMG volunteers who meet on a monthly basis with CBC managers to try to resolve issues and make CBC a better place to work.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contribute your talents, help your colleagues and make friends at work \u2013 Join a union committee in Toronto.
