The monthly meeting of the Toronto LEC was held on November 17th, 2015 along with the General Meeting.<\/p>\n
Meeting Commenced at 2:30pm in the Artists Lounge.<\/p>\n

PRESENT: Naomi Robinson, Elaine Janes, Jordanna Lake, Riza Kaya, Kyle Kutasewich, Maureen Brosnahan , Glen\u00a0Guerin,<\/p>\n
ABSENT: Tony Germin, Jonathan Spence, Claryse Boulinea, Kim Taylor Galway, Kam Rao, Anita Adams, Colman\u00a0Jones<\/p>\n
1. Committee congratulated Riza Kaya who has accepted retirement and will be leaving the CBC and the LEC<\/p>\n
2. Glen Guerin will be leaving the CBC as well but will stay on with the Union as a Freelance member<\/p>\n
3. Jordanna Lake announced that she will be stepping back until the end of January due to personal commitments\u00a0and someone else will be asked to record Minutes in January<\/p>\n
4. Committee discussed the idea of 2 versus 3 year terms on LEC and agreed to put it up for discussion at the\u00a0Convention in 2016. Must be put forward to Harry Mesh in form of a resolution<\/p>\n
5. President brought up Holiday Party planning. Anita and Christina to assist in getting prizes.<\/p>\n
6. January must replace LEC members Riza\/Glen<\/p>\n
7. Convention will only have a half day for Branch Matters as the meeting is now down to 2 days \u2013 Elaine Janes\u00a0suggests we ask for a full day due to size of CBC Branch. Maureen Brosnahan supports this.<\/p>\n
8. President brought up issue of Posted Schedules as past of CA. Some departments are not complying saying\u00a0members don\u2019t want it. Point is posting of work and holiday schedules to protect people\u2019s rights. Agreed that we send\u00a0out an email about why the schedules are to be posted.<\/p>\n
9. LEC will raise the issue at LJC for cork boards by the elevators and try for electronic access again.<\/p>\n
10. LEC will put together a test survey for new year<\/p>\n
11. LEC want to put together a Lunch and Learn in New Year perhaps February to discuss Pensions. Raj Narain and\u00a0Bea Guttman to be approached. Elaine Janes suggested one on Know your CA with top 10 point.<\/p>\n
12. Kyle Kutasewich suggested another Stewards training course<\/p>\n
13. Elaine wants to use the survey to address workload issues, training & development.<\/p>\n
14. Local Joint to enquire about familiarisation NOT training<\/p>\n
15. NOTE: December meeting is postponed to accommodate the Holiday Party any emergency issues which arise\u00a0between now and January we will arrange an emergency meeting of the LEC.<\/p>\n
