To clarify: There were 130 positions that CBC has shed. 27 redundancies handed out April 7, three more for people who were not at work. So 30 CMG cuts in Toronto.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Job Search\/ Networking Online Workshop for Redundant Members<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A motion<\/b> <b>to provide career counselling workshops for our members facing redundancies as soon as possible, at a cost of no more than $1,000.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Moved by Krista, seconded by Ines.\u00a0 <\/span><b>Motion passes unanimously. <\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Collective Agreement Distribution<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mail out \/ in building distribution plans, need for home addresses ( google form?)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Motion: for the Toronto LEC to spend up to $2,000 on mail-outs to distribute our collective agreement, and any costs beyond that we will ask the BEC for support. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mover: Lorne, Seconder: Julian \u00a0 <\/span>Motion passes unanimously.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Ongoing Business<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>LEC Elections<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211;<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nomination process is now open. Process is different because of Covid. Everything has to be submitted electronically in one email<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>A motion to appoint Coleman Jones to the Local Election Committee.
