Moved by Naomi, seconded by Kat, approved unanimously.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meeting started: 10:05am with quorum<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vish intro to the meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC does not usually meet in July and August but this year is a little different:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Might want to touch base in July and August in the evening for a short catch-up meeting for Olympics and people returning to the office.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NEW BUSINESS<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Election Committee<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Petrona Martin is leaving on a one-year non-CMG secondment so the committee needs a new person.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC will reach out to stewards after Petrona steps down from the election committee to see if anyone would like to apply for the committee vacancy.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health and Safety Committee<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the members needs to be replaced due to health concerns.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><i>MOTION: Joe moves to appoint John LeSavage as a sitting member of the CBC Toronto H&amp;S Committee. Lyne seconds. Motion passes.<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ONGOING BUSINESS<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMG Convention<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEC members to strike a sub-committee to prepare for the convention:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vish, Olena, Matt and Naomi will take part to discuss strategy and set up a prep session for delegates.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All delegate release requests will be handled via online form on the CMG website.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Member Pandemic Survey<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The survey results will be used to inform our conversations with members and with CBC management.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The survey format will be shared with the group of LECs across Canada so that they can get the data from their location membership.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMG Updates<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kim Trynacity joined the meeting at 12:30pm<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BEC approved a project to look at the 5 day workweek.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMG won arbitration with CBC that TOIL (time off in lieu) is to be treated differently than max work hours allowed. An announcement has gone out to managers from the CMG.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Future of Work \u2014 The CBC is still sticking to September as the date for return to the building, but things are in flux.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Olympics \u2014 the CMG is saying you there needs to be more than rapid testing.
