{"id":3722,"date":"2022-10-02T21:25:59","date_gmt":"2022-10-02T21:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cmg.ca\/toronto\/cbc\/?p=3722"},"modified":"2022-10-02T21:25:59","modified_gmt":"2022-10-02T21:25:59","slug":"cbc-toronto-location-executive-committee-meeting-minutes-thursday-may-5-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cmg.ca\/toronto\/cbc\/cbc-toronto-location-executive-committee-meeting-minutes-thursday-may-5-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"CBC TORONTO LOCATION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES \u2014 Thursday, May 5, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEC Meeting Minutes &#8211; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May 5, 2022<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><b>Attending:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Olena, Vish, Matt, Naomi, Kat, Jann, Lyne, David, Wendy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Adoption of agenda<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; move treasurer report to beginning for Matt &#8211; Krista motions, Matt seconds, passed unanimously.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Adoption of March minutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Kat moved, Jann seconds, passed unanimously.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that today\u2019s meeting was split into times to accommodate the information session.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10:00 a.m. &#8211; 10:50 a.m.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Treasurer Report<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Matt will be looking into the accounting of LEC and NEC paid days for meetings.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business Cards<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the LEC members will have business cards.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Telework<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some CMG members at CBC Toronto are beginning their telework arrangements with their departments.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMG to monitor that members are being treated fairly with their telework agreements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will be adding all the CMG committees to our private Facebook page so that you know who to contact if you need help with anything. You can also contact <\/span><a href=\"mailto:help.cmgto@gmail.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">help.cmgto@gmail.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and we will direct your email to a staff rep.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">12:00 p.m. &#8211; 2:00 p.m. Information Session<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No recording<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2:30 p.m. &#8211; 5:00 p.m.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May Day wrapup<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The May Day cookies event went very well and we had the opportunity to connect with our members face-to-face at the Toronto office.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chief Steward Position<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>Motion: Naomi moves that Ines Colabrese be appointed by the LEC as a Chief Steward for the remainder of the 2022 term. Krist seconds. Carries.<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><em><strong>Motion: Lyne moves that Olena be appointed as full member of LJEC and Kat as alternate to local joint committees, Wendy as a full member of LJC for the remainder of the 2022 term. David seconded. Carries.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMG Referendum<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discussion about the CMG National Executive Committee referendum to reduce the size of the NEC. They have 20+ members and think it\u2019s unwieldy and prevents work from getting done efficiently and quickly.
