Sarah seconds. Passes unanimously.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Adoption of past minutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; February 16, 2023 &#8211; David motions to adopt the minutes from the February 16th meeting. Lorne seconds. Passes unanimously\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Adoption of past minutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 March 9, 2023 &#8211; Jann motions to adopt the minutes from the March 9th meeting.\u00a0 Sarah seconds.\u00a0 Annie abstains.\u00a0 Passes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ongoing Business<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stewards training update\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC is working on finding a date in May that works with everyone\u2019s schedule.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May Day update<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC will give out May Day cookies at the Toronto building on May 1st in the Front Street atrium and the Wellington entrance hallway between 9am and 3pm.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Staff Rep Update\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CMG has hired two new staff representatives who are now working with members: Karren Hwang<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and Ryan Toews.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workday\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEC discussed a number of issues that have been raised with the implementation of Workday.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Members are encouraged to continue to share issues with the LEC and also email CMG Staff Representative <\/span><a href=\"mailto:wendy@cmg.ca\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wendy Martin <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">directly.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Survey\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preliminary results show 182 responses, down from the 280 responses to the previous survey.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC will read all the comments and work on ways to address issues and provide communications to members. Further investigation on some key issues, such as bullying, can be taken through additional surveys.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All Staff Meeting: Hybrid work environment\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hybrid work was discussed in the March 23rd All-Staff Meeting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marco Dube says the hybrid model is here to stay. Transcript and video are available on iO.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Election Committee\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MOTION:\u00a0 Lorne motions to add Lara Hindle to the election committee.\u00a0 Annie seconds.\u00a0 Motion passes unanimously\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEC Posters<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New posters of the LEC committee will be printed addressing the French typos and will be posted.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMG Convention\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An email has been sent out to the delegates from the CMG NEC with details about the convention.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC will send out a reminder to all Toronto delegates to fill out their release requests and notify their managers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC will be setting up a Zoom call for all Toronto delegates to go over convention details.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Summer events\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ice cream\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC is aiming to have its ice cream day near the end of June.\u00a0 Options will be planned for the weekend staff who cannot make it to the truck.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The communications committee will send out emails and notices via social media.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Summer get-together\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC\u2019s events committee is looking into a summer event for the membership for June, July or August.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accessibility presentation<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC went through a detailed presentation on how to improve our documents to make them accessible to members with disabilities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Temporary Staff Event\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The LEC is planning an information event for temporary staff on April 26th from 5:45pm to 7:30pm.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Business<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MOTION: Arman motions to designate Isabelle Gobeil to the Local Joint Committee.\u00a0 Sarah seconds.\u00a0 Annie is absent for the vote.\u00a0 Passes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MOTION:\u00a0 David motions that we move to appoint the respective co-chairs to their respective committees.\u00a0 Lorne seconds.\u00a0 Passes unanimously.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEC reports\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Table Officers Reports\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Directors Reports\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chief Steward Reports\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2023 Upcoming LEC meeting dates\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May 23, 2023<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">June 15, 2023<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MOTION:\u00a0 David motions to end the meeting.
