Jag Seconds. Passes unanimously.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>OATH of OFFICE <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; 11:15am \u2013 Lara Hindle swears in as VP of LEC<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><b>Ongoing Business<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><b>Bargaining update<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat &#8211; Bargaining proper starts the week of October 16 and will continue for 7 intermittent weeks until March.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Full Day Caucus &#8211; Jag and Kat October 15.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first week of bargaining will be high level speeches, and refreshers on Port Credit method of interest based bargaining. Led by CBC Manager Catherine Gregory and\u00a0 CMG Staff Rep Olivier Descharnais Roy.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Sept 13 Stewards Training update, set up follow-up meeting<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was a very successful Steward\u2019s Training.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The training was led by Jag, and supported by Lorne and Wendy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jag says a number of members emailed him afterwards to say that they were thankful and appreciated the seminar. Overall, great feedback to the session.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Introducing our new Vice President <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Lara Hindle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trip around the table \u2013 LEC members introducing themselves to Lara, and sharing their work and union biographies with Lara, and she shares his previous involvement with CMG, both with TVO and CBC.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lara does the OATH of OFFICE.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Communications committee update (website\/instagram)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The committee met recently.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Andrew and two other members of the committee will be setting up a call with the company that did the main CMG site, to inquire about the fees for updating the CMC Toronto site.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another member of the committee &#8211; ALTHEA &#8211; is going to play around with the site, to see if interactivity can be improved.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A couple members were going to do a Follow-spree, on Insta, and other social media platforms.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Holiday party committee prep update<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMG Toronto Holiday Party will be on November 30th.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be a live karaoke band, and lots of great food.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Feedback from September CMG Toronto Social:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat says she\u2019s received dozens of emails and people approaching her about how great the social was, and that they liked the box lunches.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was a little negative feedback that the Vegan option was a little dry.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">441 tickets were collected, and 41 lunch boxes were left on the 4th and 6th.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat says that the September 14th Temp Social Event was very successful.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candid conversations about what\u2019s happening on the floor.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some new members were there, and a couple signed cards.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arman has plans to do this every second month.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>New Business<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Nov 6 DEI Training (mandatory)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEC members are obligated to attend this training.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s a 90 minute course \u2013 Nov 6 at 2-3:30pm<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Discussion on bylaw amendments for AGM <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat suggests that we brainstorm about any possible bylaw amendments that might need to be changed.<\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annie asks for an explanation on what the local AGM is, and how it works.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any proposed bylaw amendments need to be shared to members by October 11th.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat says bylaw amendments by a ? vote of the members attending the AGM.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>SRC pizza lunch and Holiday party\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annie inquires about a possible 200-350 dollars for an SRC pizza lunch.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lorne asks how many people does this take in?\u00a0 Annie says there are about 60 people who would be there.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annie says it\u2019s previously been a success, meeting members, hearing about issues, and mobilizing the SRC members.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Motion to allot $350.00 to the SRC pizza lunch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>MOTION:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Jag moves, Lorne seconds, passes unanimously.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Bulletin board committee?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat asks whether it might be good for everyone in the LEC to take on a bigger role in monitoring and maintaining the boards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the boards are the smaller variety, and others are larger.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat suggests a brainstorming of what needs to be in those boards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat will share the bulletin board locations with the LEC.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>LEC shirts:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat suggests that having LEC shirts would be a bonding, and effective way to distinguish us .. and how we are responsible to the members.<\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was a fun discussion of what kind of shirts to choose.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>LEC reports\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Table officers, directors, chief stewards<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MOTION:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To end meeting:\u00a0 Lorne moves.
