Passes unanimously.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Adoption of past minutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Dec 14, 2023&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Wendy moves, Dave seconds. Passes unanimously.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><b>Ongoing Business<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><b>Bargaining update&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Town Hall on Jan 10\/24 \u2013 as many as 50 people attended.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bargaining Highlights&nbsp; \u2013 technological change, AI, Workday.&nbsp; EDI file.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hope is for more draft language, but nothing is accepted, until it is accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next town hall is February 1st.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please encourage members to submit questions to the Bargaining team email.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Layoffs\/cuts update:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat says some new LJEC members will be appointed.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Including a Bilingual SRC member.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Stewards Training Prep update:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was a Steward\u2019s Training planning session on Monday Jan 8th.&nbsp; (Kat, Wendy &amp; Lorne)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Kat says the group went through the workshop slides &#8211; the group looked at half of them.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Then Kat went through the other half. Hope is to clean up the stewards and activist list.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Also an idea to tinker with is setting up Steward\u2019s office hours in an effort to create a possible networking plan.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Communications update (website\/social media)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat says Facebook page is an opportunity for more postings.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More administrators can be added. (Andrew interested)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kat talks about the need for an LEC Google calendar \u2013 where key events dates can be added, and we can all update this.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of us could create it, and everyone could get Edit Access to it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Possibly 1 LEC member (Andrew) could be the principal organizer.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>New Business<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>2024 Budget:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEC goes through the budget, line by line.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discussion around 2024 SRC budget being increased to $1000.00 a year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MOTION:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Lara moves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dave seconds. Passes unanimously.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discussion around printing budget being increased to $3000.00<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MOTION: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wendy moves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jag seconds.
