The CBC\/Radio-Canada Toronto Location Unit Executive Committee (LEC) has a new vacancy for the position of Director of New Members and Precarious Workers and is calling for nominations.\u00a0The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, January 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. (ET).<\/strong><\/p>\n

What does the Director of New Members and Precarious Workers do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most often, new employees are also precariously employed,\u00a0 and need special support and information. This director chairs the Local Temp Committee and also organizes and hosts orientation sessions for new union members.<\/p>\n

The Director of New Members and Precarious Workers is a voting member of the Location Unit Executive.<\/p>\n

The successful nominee will sit on the Location Unit Executive Committee for the duration of the current term (until December 2026).<\/p>\n

How to submit<\/p>\n

Please submit nomination forms to the Location Unit\u2019s Election Committee \u2014 either electronically (email to\u00a0Lynne Chichakian<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Ray Yee<\/a>) or drop off a paper copy to the CMG office (311 Adelaide Street East, Suite 101).<\/p>\n

If there are multiple candidates, a by-election will be held.<\/p>\n
